Amy D'Ambrosio

General fitness

I used to be more than 100 lbs overweight and diabetic. When I gained control over my overeating habits and behaviors, I lost weight and cured my diabetes. I wanted to help others do the same so I became a Certified Food Addiction Coach. I help clients create the confidence and habits to fall in love with who they are. This mission is truly near and dear to my heart!

I have been a compulsive overeater all my life. I started as an emotional overeater to cope with fear, loneliness, anger, resentment, and stress. Then it progressed into frequent compulsive binges in isolation because I didn't want anyone to realize how much I was eating.I was ashamed. I hated myself for not being able to control it. I was embarrassed by how heavy I had gotten. I was miserable but I couldn't stop. I joined Overeaters Anonymous and realized that only another compulsive overeater could truly understand what I was going through. I learned tools to improve my spirituality which was critical to my recovery that I bring to my coaching. I also became an Integrative (holistic) Nutrition Health Coach. So that I can coach clients in a variety of areas (health/weight loss, physical activity, relationships, career, finances, spirituality, social life, home environment, and education. All things that nourish us off the plate. Imbalances in any of these areas produce stress that can lead to overeating. I help clients create and attain goal with small sustainable changes and habit. I believe that progress IS perfection!
